Most have AIDS, says Kabwata director Mrs. Miyanda,
by no choice of their own, and when they are orphaned they
simply have no one to turn to. These are my children, and Im
their mom now, she states with a broad, proud smile.
Mrs. Miyanda is not the average director/founder of an orphanage.
She was Second Lady of Zambia in recent years, but since then finds
her work with the orphans more rewarding. Kabwata is now home to
more than 40 orphans. As witnessed by Pastor Stephen Galvano on
a recent visit, and as documented in the film "Zambia:
the Crusade that touched a Nation", Kabwata is more than
a orphanage, it is a rescue mission. |
